Aston Martin Vantage V8/V12 2005-2017 Harness Bar

The VE Harness Bar provides a secure and practical solution for fitting shoulder harnesses to Aston Martin V8 and V12 Vantage models, improving occupant safety for track driving while maintaining everyday usability.

Designed to position shoulder harnesses at the correct angle as specified by Schroth, the bar is optimised for use with Recaro Pole Position seats and similar fixed-back motorsport seats. Correct harness geometry is critical to both safety and comfort, making the VE Harness Bar an ideal upgrade for fast road, track day and club motorsport applications.

Manufactured from high-strength 25CrMo4 steel tubing with a 40 mm diameter and 2 mm wall thickness, the bar is engineered for maximum strength while keeping weight to a minimum. The design mounts beneath and is retained by the factory seat belt mounting brackets, while also incorporating dedicated fixing points for additional rigidity and security.

To ensure precise location and load transfer into the factory mounting structure, the harness bar features welded-in machined steel bushes which locate perfectly within the recesses of the original seat belt mounting brackets. This provides accurate alignment during installation and a robust connection to the vehicle structure.

When combined with our VE Seat Mounting Kits and VE Lap Belt Mounting Brackets, the system provides a complete no-drill solution for the installation of a 4-point harness system. This allows owners to significantly improve occupant restraint without permanently modifying the vehicle structure. Installation of 6-point harnesses will still require drilling of the floor and the use of suitable reinforcement/spreader plates for the anti-submarine straps.

Unlike a rear half roll cage, the VE Harness Bar offers a simpler installation process with minimal intrusion into the cabin. Access to the battery compartment and rear stowage area is retained, making it a practical solution for dual-purpose road and track vehicles. Only minor trimming of interior panels is required for installation.

Please note: The VE Harness Bar is designed for use with fixed-back motorsport seats and appropriate harnesses. It is not intended for use with the original factory seats.
