Vantage V8/V12 CV Boot
A very common failure point on Aston Martin Vantage models is the right-hand inner CV boot. Its close proximity to the exhaust exposes it to sustained heat, particularly on cars that are driven hard or used on track. Over time, this heat causes the rubber to harden, crack, and eventually split.
Once split, grease is lost and contamination enters the joint, accelerating CV wear if not addressed promptly.
These are genuine GKN inner CV boots, as originally fitted from factory. No aftermarket substitutes, no pattern parts.
Why replace with original GKN:
OEM-correct material and fitment
Better heat resistance than cheaper alternatives
Correct flexibility and durability
Direct replacement – no modification required
Optional supply options:
New high-temperature Castrol CV grease, suitable for elevated exhaust-side temperatures
New CV joint, if wear or contamination is already present
Typical signs of failure:
Split or cracked inner RH CV boot
Grease thrown onto exhaust or subframe
Increased risk of CV joint damage if ignored
The CV joints we supply are original GKN components, produced by the same manufacturer that supplies Aston Martin. These joints are not available directly from Aston Martin and are typically only offered as part of a complete driveshaft assembly (costing in excess of 1500€ per side!). This allows targeted replacement of worn or contaminated joints without the cost of a full shaft.
